Is Vice growing up?
Its been some time since we opened a up Vice magazine. Mostly due to the fact that the apathetic, hippster, Urban Outfitter shopping nob-end bit have been a long running myopic theme for some time (think in decades) but upon leaving a shop in of all places Williamsburg Brooklyn, I happened across the latest issue and wanted to see if its the same crap- ola or had they stepped up their game since their sneaky underworld dealings with Viacom puppets MTV had made a big difference. I’m sure in ad-sales. Well to our surprise the “Fiction Issue” was very interesting . After thumbing through the mag I was impressed by the vacancy of slack humor, which at one time was very funny but now just bland. With interviews with Little Caesar founder (not the pizza company dumb ass the magazine) Dennis Cooper, and shorts from some pretty good writers like E.C. Osondu and Laurie Weeks . We really enjoyed this issue, around the office a word of ad-Vice keep doing whatever your doing, you’re growing up.
